John Dalton described the atom as spherical; Joseph John Thomson discovered the electron;
Ernest Rutherford proposed that electrons orbit around the nucleus and discovered the proton;
Niehls Bohr proposed that electrons orbit around the nucleus;Henry Moseley developed the X-
ray; and James Chadwick discovered the neutron
