OBJECTIVE
To correct an existing humanoid model of a woman in a white martial arts uniform created in Blender for various error,
specifically the texture/shading, weight painting, as well as the cloth characteristics of the characters clothing. To add
an additional piece of clothing to the model, i.e. a set of black Japanese trousers known as a hakama that will move
with the animated character.
Add texture and shading to the animated character’s uniform so that it looks like a woven
piece of cloth like a karate/judo uniform. Please refer to Appendix 1 for reference.
Correct the weight painting of the animated character so that the vertices of the character do
not pierce through the clothing/uniform when in motion.
Correct the cloth characteristics of the uniform and belt so that the clothing looks like it’s
hanging naturally from the animated character’s person.
Make a copy of the original model but with an added black cloth hakama over the uniform
pants (belt would be removed) that will move with the character when animated. Please refer
to Appendix 2 for references.
