    Now we are going to discuss various types of non-linearities in a control

    system:
    1. Saturation nonlinearity
    2. Friction nonlinearity
    3. Dead zone nonlinearity
    4. Relay nonlinearity (ON OFF controller)
    5. Backlash nonlinearity

    Saturation nonlinearity is a common type of nonlinearity. For example see


    this nonlinearity in the saturation in the magnetizing curve of DC motor. In
