CULTURAL IDENTITY

ABSTRACT

Cultural identity refers to a person’s identity or the conception of belonging into a particular
culture. It has various sub-categories including race, language, religion, nationality, gender,
sexual orientation etc. The topic is chosen to put efforts on curbing small barriers among certain
social groups and create awareness among such sensitive groups so that the people are liberated
from the cultural prejudice. The common problems related to cultural identity are black culture
(racism), cultural heritage, slavery, gender discrimination, otherizing and violence. There are
people who want to move into a particular culture and may face difficulties to adjust or indulge
with that social environment. In the present world, many leaders have taken the initiative to solve
the issues regarding the Cultural Identity. This mini project here may one day analyze and solve
the cultural difficulties faced by the sensitive groups.
