November, I'd been a member for 11 years (holy crap), and
I can honestly say this place feels like my online home more

meet up and find love, starting relationships IRL is heart-

“Looking back at the year 2018 in the MH

community, I have mostly positive memories. After
being disengaged here for the last couple of years, I
succeeded to make a come back and be somewhat
warmhearted welcomed back into the ranks of
permanent members.

A special delight was it to let Farfalla return my

favour hosting her in December 2011/2012 by giving
me an interesting tour of her own country Brazil.
Along the way I was glad to reconnected with a
longtime friend benelori, and meet new faces in the
names of gnut, xnut, pompom and hardly.

Glancing at the next year, I hope to join back into the

art community and revive a few older projects I had
to bury a while ago. Respectively, looking forward to
exchange with other passionate artists in an inspiring

Dr. Stone has had a relatively quiet year. The section isn't as
active as the other sections on the forum, but it does get its
fair share of activity whenever a new chapter drops. The idea
of chapter reviews has been a really excellent one for the
section. The manga's quality is better than it was last year,
and with the news of the oncoming anime next year, the
section is bound to get more activity. Here's to hoping the
New Year brings more interactions and growth to the Stone
community!

Being a staple of the Fun Forum (and by far the best thread on there/the site
as a whole), it makes sense that this thread should include a whole 2 pages
just to itself

How this year played out

This year saw us passed out from Volcarona [in the year of the Pokémon], all
the way through Zekrom, before being slam-dunked right into the year of the
mythological creatures. Now I'm no astrologer (and it's all bullshit anyway),
but I assume that this probably meant something good happened to some
people and others were less fortunate

Speaking of firsts, GrySun was kind enough to provide the first post of the
year – wishing a 'Happy New Year' to everyone – and the first thread to be
completed was finished with a rather confused win from Organizized
 The Last Person
to Post Wins
This year's winners

Winning 50% of the games, this year, it's pretty obvious that GrySun thinks he
has something to prove – what that is, however, is anyone's guess. With
around 55% of his wins consisting of random gifs, it's probably nothing all that
important

Coming in second, with only 2 wins each, we have Hardy, Battou, Farfalla, and
Shobu Yoruichi – in fact, this year marks possibly Shobu's first win ever –
congrats!

Normally I'd say that this thread tends to break people, but I'm pretty sure
that our dear Shobu started out a little more fractured than most. Although
he is many things, I'm not sure he's the best person to ask for advice on how
to woo a lady – his direct, no time-wasted, method might be a little too much
for most – with his cherry-breaking win really summing up his views on the
whole 'romance' business

Other winners, with only a single win each, include Organizized, Vandred,
Lady pompom, and Elusia

How the winners won
Farfalla won her first win of the year through the old tried and tested method
of lurking. Her second, however, was more interesting – here she displayed her
not-so-secret obsession with suspicious looking mushroom varieties

There was also a great degree of confusion about winners this year, with
both Organizized and Battou being unsure if they had scored the victory or
not. This confusion is probably down to all the flagrant cheating that has
occurred this year via tactical deletions... it's disgusting and you should all be
ashamed of yourselves

When not confused, it's good to see that Battou hasn't lost his general
disdain for the people on this site. It's this kind of attitude which elevated
him to the esteemed position he holds now

Final shout-out goes to Hardy, who, as usual, isn't afraid to state what we
are all thinking

Tried and tested methods for success

Everybody knows that it's not just winning that counts, but how you win
that's important

Considering how much everyone loves charts, here's a quick breakdown of

the wins this year:
New Games
2018 saw the creation of the 6 letters challenge game; a game
which provided a multitude of useful quotes, some, I'm sure,
which even Confucius would be proud of

These included such profound insights as:

Also, a phrase which, I’m sure, a certain brain surgeon would have wished that

Every sane person knows that horoscopes are bullshit, being used solely
to pad out magazines and publications. Therefore, where would the
yearbook be without one? As far as I see it, the main problem with
horoscopes, and what causes their huge accuracy problems, comes from
their over reliance on star signs. Through years of careful study, we have
devised a far more accurate (at least 66% more) method of divination.

Step 1 – pick a whole number from 1 - 100

It's important to do this with as little thought as possible, as any
unnecessary thought will reduce the accuracy of the prediction.

Step 2 – add the individual digits together to generate your

'Power Number'
So, if you had picked 39, for example, your Power Number would be
12 (3 + 9)

Step 3 – compare your Power Number to the table below and be

amazed by the accuracy of the results!

≤0 You are far too pessimistic, and also you can not read. This year might be
rather challenging for you –
Suggestion for 2019: Go back to school
1 You are a rather stingy human. Although this will pad your pockets, it won't
pad your phone book.

Suggestion for 2019: Try to stand out more, take up an outlandish hobby
such as the unicycling whilst blindfolded, gurning, or dressing as a furry,
then annoy everyone by talking about it incessantly.

Suggestion for 2019: Shout, shout, and shout some more. Start every
conversation at a scream and see everybody take notice of your existence.

Suggestion for 2019: Learn to be impatient. Turn up 10 minutes early to

quickly learn punctuality. Either that or they'll stop wanting to see you,
leaving you free to find better friends. Either way, it's win, win.

not follow a linear relationship.
Suggestion for 2019: Aim for quantity and not quality. It doesn't need to be
'the best you can do', only 'as much as you can be arsed to make'. Hide your
lack of ability under a sea of inferiority.

ensure that you are always the main focal point of every event. Not, in and of
itself, a bad thing. However, you are nowhere near as impressive as you believe
yourself to be. Therefore you are just highlighting and advertising how much of
an arse you actually are.
Suggestion for 2019: Take a step back from the limelight. Allow someone else to
look like a prat. Then you can sidle in, once they've annoyed everyone
sufficiently, and look like a boss in comparison

14 You are a very generous person. If someone is in need, you will always be there
to offer a helping hand. Unfortunately, you fail to realise that other people do
not share this trait. Any support, financial or otherwise, given to help a friend in
need will never be returned.
Suggestion for 2019: Make a book of all past debts and refuse to help anyone
until they have 'cleared their tab' with you. You'll soon see people trying to help
you out and if not, you'll be able to have a nice warm satisfied feeling of not
having wasted any of your precious resources on such an ungrateful arse.

15 You are a very pure individual. You never do anything bad, wrong, or even
anything which you fear others may construe as bad or wrong. Purity,
however, is overrated. Everyone knows that the immoral and impure have
the most fun and how they're who everybody wants to hang out with .
Suggestion for 2019: Get your freak on. Be wild. Do something crazy. You'll
find that life will be far more enjoyable and that 2019 will be a much more
memorable year. Remember, as far as you know, you only live once. Why
not spend your life having a little fun for once?

deepest and most embarrassing secrets. This is a weakness of theirs and
one you should make good use of.
Suggestion for 2019: Knowledge is power. You now know many things
about others which they'd rather others didn't also know. Bribery should
be a key component of this year. It's amazing what others will say and do,
to keep their secrets secret.

17 You are far too optimistic, sure that as long as you try it'll be alright in
the end. It won't. Life is a bitch and it isn't there to make you feel good.
Suggestion for 2019: Be more pessimistic. Realise that it probably won't
work out in the end and don't waste the effort even trying. Eat ice

down.
