HALAL FOOD MOVEMENT

AS A DAKWAH AND EDUCATION STRATEGY IN THE SOCIETY

Every Muslim is obliged to choose halal food and thayyib for consumption. But in
reality the food that is spread in the society is not guaranteed halal. This causes
unrest for consumer, so it requires caution in consuming food. This research from
students' anxiety who move to socialize halal food, through activities for example,
discussions, assistance to agent or subject who produce food.

This study aims to know in the focus of this movement as a missionary (dakwah)
and educational movement in the society. The object of this research is focused on
the society who sell around the campus. To answer the problem, researchers used
qualitative research with a da’wah management approach. Data collection
techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis
teschnique uses three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing
conclusions.

The results of this study refer to that there is a da’wah strategy that done by
students including discussions, seminars and mentoring. However, the obstacle
obtained by the author is that some people who sell are not open in making food,
but this missionary movement continues to active with activities that are
programmed to the society.
