or another place and the colour is white, the material can be written on with colored marker

sometimes requires a wet rag for thorough erasing). Whiteboard is used to support learning in
school and make the teachers easier to convey the material with this media.

2.) . The advantages of white board

 Whiteboards are easy to use, we can write something on it and can be erased quickly in
addition reusable or reused for quick learning.
 Vlersatile Use

Whiteboards are effective such in learning who need spontaneous answer or quick-feedback for
example to answer the question that have to write in whiteboard, and also in interactive
exercises, brainstorming sessions and classroom discussions.

 Non-Messy

Whiteboards do not produce harmful and allergenic dust particle, such as those produced by
blackboards. And it's not messy to use, marker didn't produce the dust so that the dust didn't
leave on facilitator clothing when used marker to write something on whiteboard and marks can
be easily wiped off.

 Participative
Whiteboards are collaborative and encourage participation. More than one person can use the
board at any given time, so whiteboards multiply response and participation. They are invaluable
teaching tools that facilitate the input of everyone involved.

 Cost Effective

 Increased student’s attention and engagement. With the use of dry-erase whiteboards, it is
easier to catch the attention of students. Teachers can simply post lecture notes, photos, and

. Procedure how to make or get the media

We can buy the whiteboard with the prize 1milion-3 milion in the online shop, but usually the
school have prepare the whiteboard with eraser so that the teachers can use it to teach the
students, but the teachers just have to bring the marker for write the material on whiteboard.

3.) How to teach the language skill (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)?

The teachers can use descriptive text to improve language skills for students, first the teacher
should explain what is the descriptive text to students, after that explain what the structure of
descriptive to make them more easy to understand the meaning of the text.these are the example
of the descriptive text structure:

#Identification: (contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal or object will be
described.)
# Description: contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by
decribing its features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describe.

The application of whiteboard media to teach language skill:

In listening

After the teacher explain the structure of descriptive text and what is descriptive text,
furthermore teacher have to put the audio in class and the audio tell the desriptive text with title
lombok island for example, the audio is play for one time, after that the teacher stop the audio,
and tell the students what vocabulary that they don't know about the meaning. Furthermore
teacher answer the students question about vocabulary, then teacher play the audio again and tell
the student to take a note, when the audio is stop teacher write the question on the whiteboard
and ask students to answer the question, if there are fault answer that the students write, the
teacher give the correct answer of it and discuss together with the students Furthermore play the
audio part about the fault answer that the student did with the aim to make sure the answer and
improve student skill in listening.

In reading

The teacher write the same descriptive text with above and write on the whiteboard, then the
teacher ask the students to read in turns, and when one students read the text, another students
have to listen with attentively, when they're did wrong pronunciation the teacher give correct
pronunciation about it.

Teacher also can use the narrative text to teach listening and reading. first, teacher take the
narrative text and cut the part of text based on students number, each students have one part of
story, after the students read the part of story, they walk around to the classroom for listening
parts of the story that have been read in class with a loud sound by their friends, then students
determine the position of their parts in the story, furthermore the students have to arrange the
parts into a complext text and write it in the whiteboard.

In speaking

Using the descriptive teks with title lombok island to teach speaking, one day before applying
teaching with descriptive text teacher give the students descriptive text with that title and teacher
said that they have to read and understand what the text explain because tomorrow they have to
explain with their own word what the text tell about , when the day that the descriptive text apply
the teacher write the descriptive text with title Lombok island on whiteboard, after that tell the
students what is the vocabulary that they don't know about the meaning, then ask them to read
and understand what the text about, after that they have to tell what the text about, using their
own word in front of the class after each of them present their presentation, the teacher give
comment and critic also give value based on the students presentation.

The teacher can also ask the students to presentation their work in group, but before that the
teacher ask them to make group. "Teaching speaking doesn't only teach students to produce
spoken words to express their feeling, idea and mind but also to make student active in
negotiation meaning using social knowledge of the situation and topic". (Ahmad Baidawi,
2016:55)

In writing

After explain what is descriptive text to students, teacher also explain the structure of descriptive
text and give the example of the text, and after that teacher ask the students are they understand
about descriptive text?, then teacher answer the question of students, also give another example
to make students more easy to understand about the text, and when all of students understand
what is descriptive text, the teacher ask them to write descriptive text with free theme,
furthermore when all of the them have finish, teacher give them approach based on their work.
According to Brown (2004:218), stated that: “we also fully understand the difficulty of learning
to write well in any language, even in our own native language”.

"The teacher also can use narrative text to improve the students writing skill, before teach with
narrative text, the teachers ask the students knowledge about the narrative text, after that answer
the question, furthermore the teacher explain about language features, generic structured and
definition of narrative text and the the teacher write it on whiteboard, then ask the students to
make group consist of five member so that there are 5 groups in classroom, the teacher gave a
picture in every groups and show the picture about Timun Emas on whiteboard and every
groups got 5 piçtures each member of group should made a simple sentence based on the picture
which they had. The last, the teacher asked the students to found the difficulty in writing simple
sentence based on picture series in narrative text. And if the students not finished made a simple
sentence, it can be homework". Suhartono (2016:41).
