Lesson Topic: Telling time

1. The lesson went very well. I could tell the kids were interested in the video because it
was silly but also informative. They did a good job at following the directions.
2. When the video was on, I could tell the students were engaged. They were also eager
to get the answers in the video right. They also were excited for me to check their exit
tickets.
3. I would say I did a good amount of preparation. I had my hook, my closure and the
materials. I probably could have done more research about different ways to explain
how to tell time.
4. I think I had good pacing. I made sure to give the kids enough time to answer all the
questions given without being rushed.
5. The worksheet I gave showed their understanding and the little clocks they used in
the beginning showed me what they knew. The only problem was sometimes they
would look at their neighbors’ clock to see what the answer was. Next time I will ask
specific students what they would put instead of just asking the group as a whole.
6. I did meet all of my objectives because when I checked their worksheets at the end
most of the kids got all of them right and the ones that got it wrong knew how to fix
it.
