Use In order to operate an additional hydraulic installation, such as an hydraulic hammer at full load / at max. engine RPM, but with reduced pump flow (since these hydraulic installations require less oil), it is necessary to install and adjust components which reduce pump flow in Litronic machines. 2. Principle When the appropriate installation is actuated via switch B33, an electrical signal is forwarded via the electronic control to circuit board 4 (fig. 1). A limit signal corresponding to the adjustment of the two potentiometers P1 and P2, which are integrated in the Circuit board, is forwarded to the electronic horsepower control For description, see sub group 8.71 This causes the pumps to return to a certain selected pump angle (flow) Location of switch B33 = On R912 in the control line of the installation kit, on distributor block 70. + OnR 902, R932 and R942 in the control line of the installation kit, on the control pressure connection of the added control valve block 116 Benennung/Description’Dénomination LIEBHERR Datum/Edition/Date 04.91 ‘otrol reso 95} Special Installation Flow Reduction yp See pa 20 page 16 Model ‘Sub Group Index Type ° ‘Abitrom/a partir ae 16.50.01 Versions of circuit board Ad for flow reduction + Version 1, installed up to Dec. 1990 In this version, potentiometers R15 / R16 for pump angle limitation of pumps P1 / P2 are adjustable multi position switches, see fig. 4 Version 2, installed from January 1991 ‘The potentiometers R15 / R16 for pumps P1 / P2_ are rotating potentiometers, which are adjustable to any desired intermediate value, see fig. 5. 3. Adjustment 3.1. Adjustment of reduced pump flow with circuit board Ad “Version 1" Reduced pump flow is adjusted by turning adjustment washer 1 on potentiometer P1 or P2, until the slot of the washer is straight above the preselected notch. Example ‘An R912 Litronic machine is to be supplied with max. flow of 140 I/min by pump P1. ‘The max. flow without reduction on this machine is 200 l/min per pump. The necessary reduction of 30% is obtained when the adjustment washer of the potentiometer for pump P1 (marked ” P1 “on plate) movesinto notch 5 ( equals 68% of max. flow, or 136 l/min) oO bhitithre 12345678 ship! 165001 3.2 Test and board Aa 3.24 3.22 LIEBHERR Datumeaition/Date 04.91 jjustment of reduced pump flow with circuit fersion 2" Adjustment Guidelines The potentiometer R15/R16 may only be checked and adjusted if the electrical current (mA) is checked at the same time. Adjust the potentiometer only when the Diese! engine is running at max. RPM. At the same time actuate the corresponding pilot control valve To adjust potentiometer R 15/R 16 see fig. 4,5,6and 7 Connect test adaptor or test box with multimeter, see fig. 60r7. Determine the adjustable amperage of the regulating solenoid via the required flow quantity ( Qred. in min) from diagram 8, Run the Diesel engine at max. RPM. ‘Actuate the corresponding pilot control valve for the added installation and measure the electrical current Turn potentiometer R 15 or R 16, see fig. 5, until the correct amperage (mA ) shows on the multimeter. Note: Potentiometers R15 / R16 are adjustable over the total range from 250 to 750 mA, which means the pumps can be adjusted to any value between Qmax and Qmin. enennung/Description/Dénomination Flow Reduction eo: Oa " Hom "Ig (ey'> I) 2 Oe 5 re gun Gacy || K TEAS Biba Hee dah To check current with test adapter Test box Horsepower control No. 6202698 pow ‘Adapter cable ta-No: 9357556, . When the appropriate installation is actuated via an integrated switch, an electrical signal is forwarded via the electronic control to print plate AZ Two potentiometers R 15 / R16, integrated in print plate A2, reduce electrical current to the regulating solenoids ¥4/ Y5 for pumps P1/ P2 to the adjusted value. This causes the pumps to work at a certain pump angle (flow), which is in proportion to the regulating current Description of flow reduction installation, see fig. 1-3 1. The standard print plate A2 - installed in the instrument panel to the left next the operator's seat above print plate Al - contains both adjustable potentiometers R 15 and R 16. For diagram and description of print plate A2, see electrical system, section 8.40. 2. To reduce pump flow, electrical current to regulating solenoids Y4 and Y5 on variable displacement double pump is reduced to acertain value by adjusting potentiometers R15/ R16 For construction and function of regulating solenoids and pump adjustment, see variable displacement double pump, section 7.10, 3. Switch 93 ( B33 ) is installed in servo control line of the appropriate installation Every time the added installation is actuated, a signal is forwarded to the electronic horsepower control. In this electronic control, the signal is processed and potentiometer RIS/ R16 actuated Note: ‘Switch shown in fig. 3 is installed in front of the added control valve block 116 in servoline b1 Benennung/Descripton/Dénomination LIEBHERR Flow Reduction in A - Model Machines Datumedionibate 05.90 Typ seePage 16 Model “Sud Group index Type ‘Abitrom/a partirde BlatuPage Feuile 16.51.01 Regulating solenoid Pump Plug blue = fa id'No. 6001232 \ \ cable AX s.r {oregulating soleng tee tage wa 4 | wa. Adjust the potentiometer only when the Diesel engine is running at max. RPM. At the same time actuate the appropriate servo control valve. 1.3 Switch 93 ( 833 ) must be functioning properly , this is a prerequisite for proper function of the adjusted flow (Qred.) 2. Toadjust potentiometer R15/R 16, see fig. 4,5, 6 and 7 2.1. Connect test fitting or test box with multimeter, see paragraph 1.3 and fig. 4orS. 22 The adjusted electrical current of the regulator solenoid is determined by the necessary flow ( Q red, in min ) from the diagram (comparison chart) on reverse page, see example, fig. 7. 2.3. Bring Diesel engine to max. RPM. Actuate the appropriate servo control for the added installation and check the electrical current, 2.4 Turn potentiometer R 15 or R 16 with a screw driver, see fig. 6, until the determined value (mA) shows on the multimeter. Note: The adjustment range of the potentiometer R 15/R 16 equals a current of 750 - 530 mA, which results in a hydraulic flow from pump P1 /P2 of 200-112 limin.
