HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

Clean air and water campaign was proposed by the Sierra Club; this
campaign was made in order to make people conscious about how
important the environment is, effecting changes in government.
How to save water effectively, use ecologic means of transportation,
recycle garbage and the most necessary thing is to take care of our
home has being teaching people through the last years.
Bird Conservation was motivated by Audubon. Conserve and restore
their ecosystems was achieved; by working hard since 1800s, more
than 50 Natural Reserves were created in the USA keeping
thousands of species safe from hunters and deforestation, also
“Benefiting humanity and the earth’s biological diversity”.
Projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international
waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic
pollutants were provided by Global Environment Facility.
International sustainable development initiatives were financed by
183 countries which compose this organization.

A lot of causes were supported by Friends of Earth; such as growing

up trees in order to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. Some innovative
actions were also implemented, primarily on the United States in
favor of the environment, helping to stop Greenhouse Effect and
Global Warming.
Many trees were planted by the foundation seeding a Tree,
providing oxygen and
reducing the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere.
Millions of Electronic devices were recycled by ECO-RAEE’S during
the last 1o years. Therefore Pollution was decreased, avoiding these
devices to be burn and produce poisonous chemicals that can affect
the ecosystem.

In conclusion, all of these organizations were founded by humble

people who believed in human beings, who believed that one day
we would realize that we were destroying our planet, our home and
that we will have to do something about it.
