Service Project

For my service work this year, I helped out at fish fry’s, I worked a basketball

tournament and I worked a food bank. All my services helped me grow closer to God and

improved my relationship with God. I performed these services because I felt that they were

the right way for me to serve God.

For my first service, I helped out at the Saint Kilian Holiday Basketball tournament over

Christmas break. I worked a total of fifteen hours there but I only counted ten. I worked the

clock, concession stand, admissions, and many other jobs during my time there. I really enjoyed

this service because I was able to serve my community while being around the game I love. The

next service I did was help out at the Saint Kilian Fish Fry over the course of Lent. I worked a

total of twelve hours there but I only counted ten. When I was there I worked a bunch of jobs

that included waiter, takeout, and seater. I enjoyed this service because I had a new job ever

week and I was not just sitting around the whole time. The last service I did was help out at the

Saint Ferdinand Food Bank. I went to St. Ferdinand once every month and helped bag food for

people who could not afford any. I got a total of six hours while helping at the food bank. I

enjoy this service because I got the satisfaction of knowing I was helping those in need.

I hope all of my services helped everyone it pertained too. I would hate to have done a

bad job during my services. I get a good feeling after every service because I know I am serving
God through jobs. I think that it is essential for Christians for to perform community service

because everyone is called to follow Jesus teachings and Gods law and we can do this by

following Gods law.
