Letter of opinion

Dear Ms Jones,

I am writing on behalf of the Students’ Advisory Service in reply to your letter of 1 st of

March asking for an opinion on what you should do after finishing school. I realise how
difficult it is for you, but I think there are some options for you to choose from.

First of all, you should make a list of all the careers which may interest you and then
decide which one you feel you are best suited to in terms of exam grades or subject interest. I
would also suggest that you see a careers officer who would be able to give you professional
advice.

You also mentioned in your letter that you are worried about coping with the work
involved in attending university. I would advise you to make sure that you always do each
piece of work immediately after it is assigned so that you do not fall behind. In addition, I
recommend that you organise your timetable carefully so that you can combine work and
recreation.
