INTRODUCTION
This article was published in “People matters” in June 2019 by Abhijit Bhaduri. In this article
the author talked about two bloggers and photographers – Neelima Vallangi and Shivya
nath. Neelima Vallangi was a software engineer she quit her job after working for 7 years for
travel blogging and photography. Her stories were published in MINT, BBC, Traveller Indian
express and more. She left her home because of her passion towards photography and
travelling. Now the question is how did she left her home? The answer lies in her first travel
magazine “Geographic Traveller India (2013)” and this amazing hit for her and that’s how
she got the idea of professional travel and writer and that’s how she became location-
independent.

If we talk about Shivya Nath her bestselling book was “The shooting star” and her book was
published in National Geographic, BBC, and Huffington post and several other newspapers.

Instagram

NEW TYPE OF LINKEDIN

Both Neelima and Shivya proves that what lies ahead of HR. Now they both don’t have any
business card if anyone wants to make any contact with them they have to leave their
message on Instagram post and Their CV is now available on social media because they both
are “digital nomads “and that’s how they found by fans and brands who use them as
“INFLUENCERS “and that’s why they need new type of LinkedIn.

TALENT POOLS FOR ONLINE MARKETS

a marketplace which is like LinkedIn has done for employees who wants to switch their jobs
and wants to work on full time .Organisations are struggling in finding seasonal labours or
contract labours now there are marketplaces for niche skills let’s take an example of
Pared.com who are into catering with back-of-the-house operations for ex- line cooks, prep
cooks etc. They also provide consulting services to Baristas in order to solve the problem of
customer waiting in restaurants. Another website Rover.com gives services for cats and
dogs

SOLUTIONS TO MAJOR PROBLEMS

Talent marketplace helps us to tackle different problems which are as follows:

 Talent market places is making the job of the employer easier and convenient in
order to find the right candidate with right skills and regardless of the duration of the
candidate when he or she is being employed.
 Talent marketplaces also helps to find different ways to verify the credentials of the
employees and licences for specific jobs like doctor.
 It also helps to provide the feedbacks to the employees for example ola and uber
driver can be reviewed by their ratings given by the customers.

SKILLS FOR HR

Working with a limitless pool of talent on tap will require different skills for HR. It is
a good starting point to be able to use software to reimagine the employee
experience. Technology is used to address these five questions. Another field for HR
to scale up is partnering with influencers to form the image of the company.
Working to deliver talent in real time is a new challenge facing HR. Creating
dedication and employability across the supply chain means that HR needs to stop
seeing the pool of talent as being limited to full-time employees. There are emerging
new talent pools such as Generation Z with a very different mind-set and
expectations. It would be great to have a research arm.
