Findings:
On 03/16/2020 at 03:00 the 24M - MG380 was reported down due to hydraulic oil
leak in “SITIO 4”, when the technicians arrive to the equipment for inspect, a big oil
leak is observed under of the machine and the transmission drain valve broken.

The following picture evidence that the equipment was moved some meters from
the place where the leak started (trace of oil), the inferior pin plate of the hitch
articulation was found hit. This show that an oversize material was the cause of the
valve rupture.

Image 6 and 7: transmission drain valve broken.


The screen was review, was found clean without relevant indications.

Image 8, 9 and 10
The valve was changed and 23 US gal were added. The Operational and
maintenance manual refer that the XMSN housing compartment use 23 US gal.

The testing and adjusting was performed:

Main relief valve pressure (ACTUAL): 330 psi high idle


We can notice that the XMSN failed (Clutches
6 and 5 low pressure)
