Amanda was my clinical student during her 3rd semester, high acuity course, in the fall of 2019 at The University of Arizona College of Nursing in the Baccalaureate Program. Amanda was a model student who consistently surpassed my expectations pushing herself to learn and grow in the nursing profession. Amanda is a smart, compassionate, and hardworking individual who is dedicated to giving the highest quality care to her patients and families. During clinical Amanda was always on time and prepared for the day. In post-conferences she was an active participant in discussions regarding patient care, EBP models, and case studies. ‘The comprehensive care plans she submitted demonstrated her ability to put together the whole picture of her patient’s hospitalization including disease process, co-morbidity involvement, related medications and labs and most importantly, the priority nursing interventions to treat her patient hol ically. Amanda had the ability to care for her assigned patients with minimal guidance but would ask appropriate and focused questions showing her critical thinking when she encountered something unfamiliar. | routinely received positive remarks from nursing staff, patients, and families about Amanda's positive attitude and the compassionate care she provided. 1305 Main Avene THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA PO, boxaion Tum a 7-003 College of Nursing ter Gan axes Fax en et602 ‘owing ‘Amanda has demonstrated academic excellence throughout her studies at the University of Arizona and she completed our very rigorous course, arguably the most difficult course in the BSN curriculum, with an A which is not commonly achieved. Now that Amanda is almost done with her nursing program, she is looking for a new graduate position that will give her the best possible start to her career and allow her to grow and develop her professional practice for many years to come. 1am pleased to recommend Amanda Shaleford as an excellent candidate for your RN New Grad Clinical Residency Program.
