1. May the native tongue of the students be used at all the direct method?
In this method, native tongue the students can used at all the direcet method because
teacher will apply say and repeat. The example is teacher give a vocabulary to students and
students repeat. From the example it means students can try and learn how to pronounciation a
word by word correctly like the teacher does.
2. If no translation is allowed the direct method, what is the teacher to do if pupil doesn’t
understand?
If pupil doesn’t understand about translation in the direct method. We can use another
technique like we can use video animation or with gesture.
3. How can grammar be taught in the direct method?
Grammar can taght in the direct method with inductive approach. The teacher can giving
them explanation about grammar that very easy and interesting, than giving the example, and the
last giving them test or quiz. The expectations is that students learn to organize the rules of
grammar in a more natral way during their own reading and writing.
4. “classroom insrtruction should be conducted exclusively in the target language” what does this
mean?
So, it means that everything on the class must be to instruction like use English at every
meeting. And it only can be demonstrated
5. The direct method may be not effective in an immersion classroom type? Please elaborate two
major points that distract the method.

So the imemersion class applies English in all subject like in mathematics, and chemistry
subject that are very ineffective because it will be difficult for students to understand. It is not
suitable for use in the direct method.
