During the 2018 and 2019 school years, I had the pleasure of working with Justice Jones as part
of the Syracuse Youth Court. She volunteered as a Youth Court Member performing duties such
as court clerk, bailiff and Senior Judge. Justice began as a 9th grader as one of the youngest
members of our Court. In her first year, she became a Senior Judge, conducting the majority of
our court hearings. Her duties also included developing dispositions (sentences) for referred
youth encouraging them to reach their full academic, social, and creative potential. Justice also
served as a youth mentor, providing weekly support and guidance to other youth.
In my years of experience, some individuals stand out for their great qualities and Justice Jones
is of those people. Justice is an intelligent, responsible, and personable young woman. She is
always quick on her feet, with sensible reactions in all the circumstances I've seen her in. I feel
confident in saying that she can handle any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. She was
well respected in our Youth Court for being "go-to" person for stepping up and volunteering to
get something done when everyone else was uncertain or inexperienced, even if she herself had
no experience with the task.
Throughout the time I've know her, she has shown me time and again that she is a positive,
motivated leader with amazing potential. Due to her great attitude, dedication and excellent
potential, I would heartily recommend Justice for any opportunity that may come her way. I am
sure that she would not let you down and would be as great an asset to your team as she was to
mine.
