Dear Sir/Madam
In the light of current lockdown in the country due to pandemic COVID-19, there was a
disruption in the regular teaching schedule and despite all efforts to provide online teaching
material the students have been facing hardships. So, as per orders of the competent authority the
following decisions have been taken for even semester examinations of session 2019-20
1. All the remaining Mid Semester Examinations, Minor examinations and Quiz tests of are
merged with the May-June 2020 end semester / major examinations with proportionate
increase of marks for May-June 2020 end semester / major examinations as per
respective ordinances.
2. The students are allowed to attempt any five questions out of the total eight questions
(divided in four sections as per the Question Paper Style) i.e. the condition of attempting
at least one question from each section will not be applied for the incoming end semester
May-June 2020 Examinations. This will be a one time relaxation for May-June, 2020
Examinations due to COVID-19 and will not be taken as a precedent for future
examinations of the university.
3. All the question papers for end semester May-June 2020 examinations will be set
internally.
4. Depending upon the situation and guidelines issued by government, the examinations
may be started from May 15, 2020. Keeping in view the social distancing as the advisory
issued by the government, the examinations may be conducted by having three sessions
in a day if required.
5. For those candidates who are from different states (with adequate proof duly attested by
Head of the concerned department) and are unable to appear in the May-June 2020
examinations due to travel restrictions imposed by government a separate examination
may be conducted for them without any additional fee.
6. Since the current lockdown is up to April 14, 2020, the practical examinations may now
be held after the theory examinations.
