when he sold fish and since then he has always been humble
Fidel Bassa was crowned world flyweight champion in a close fight
on February 13, 1987 at the Country Club of Barranquilla against
the Panamanian Hilario Zapata by unanimous decision of the judges
The next fight was in Belfast Ireland where he won by KO even
though he fell three times it was the WBA fight of the year before
he had practiced with intensity
Today he is a great businessman and humble he does not always
forget his friends. He achieved a record of 24 fights 22 for ko 1
draw and 1 loss
