Has everyone seen the movies Finding Nemo and Finding Dory? They
are both funny movies with great stories, but what I like about them
most is how beautiful the fish are. Nemo is a clownfish, and clownfish
really do look like they’ve put on clown makeup. That is just how bright
their colors are. There are 78 different kinds of clownfish, and while
Nemo is orange and white, clownfish can be any bright, neon color.
Dory is a Pacific blue tang fish, and they are mainly bright blue, with
some black on their bodies and yellow fins.

Clownfish live in coral reefs and they like to hang out by the sea
anemones. Anemones are animals that look like a bush made out of
slender tubes that sway in the ocean current. They sting most fish, but
they don’t sting clownfish. The clownfish and the anemones
sometimes hunt for food together, so they take care of each other.

Everyone loved Finding Nemo and Finding Dory so much that I bet
there’s going to be another movie soon. What do you think a good
name for a new movie about Nemo or Dory would be? Let’s draw a
character that can be in the next movie. Would you like to draw Nemo
or Dory? You can also draw a different clownfish. You can make the
new fish any color you’d like. Nothing is too wild.

Nemo and Dory also have all different kinds of friends. Squids, octopi,
beluga whales, sharks. Would you like to draw one of these animals?
How about a seal? I don’t think there’s been a seal in one of the
movies yet. Don’t forget to draw fins on the fish, or they won’t be able
to swim!
