Hovnanian School is pleased to announce our upcoming talent show! Our students are always excited to share
their many talents with their classmates, and this will be a great opportunity to practice their skills as
performers and audience members. Our arts programs provide many opportunities for our students to perform
as an ensemble, but performing solo is also an important skill that requires an extra level of confidence and
preparation. This type of performance gives our students the confidence not only for arts and athletic
competitions, but they are also transferable skills for defending dissertations, leading meetings, and giving
presentations. This is also a chance for audience members to practice good audience etiquette and practice
giving kind and positive feedback to their peers.

This is NOT a contest. There will be no prizes or judging. The performance will take place during the school
day, and will be an opportunity for students and teachers to share and celebrate the many talents of our
extraordinary students.

All acts will be screened by members of the Showcase Committee prior to performance to make sure students
are prepared and that acts comply with the following rules:

All acts MUST be:

★ Planned
★ Prepared
★ Appropriate for School
★ 2:30 or less in length
★ Solo (one performer only)

Interested students MUST:

★ Submit only one act per student

★ Submit form on the back of this sheet by Friday, March 1
★ Submit any musical materials (i.e. backing tracks, sheet music) by March 1
