To Whom It May Concern:

Alicia O’Neill has been a student teacher in my fourth grade class from
August 2019 through March 2020. She has been a part of a three-teacher
team with 84 students, including 7 students with IEPs for learning
disabilities, 11 students with WEPs for giftedness, 3 students with 504
plans, and 1 student with an IEP for emotional disturbance. Alicia has
been responsible for teaching three sections of math, one section of RTI
intervention, and one section of academic assist.

Miss O’Neill has had the experience of teaching entire units of math, as
well as implementing the daily homework, formative quizzes, and unit
tests. Alicia has successfully demonstrated her awareness of different
learning styles and has adequately adjusted assignments to meet the
varied needs of students. Her lessons were thoroughly prepared and
implemented, and they consistently followed the adopted curriculum of
the school district and state. She was successful in monitoring and
adjusting to various schedule changes in order to complete instruction
during her time of teaching. This included being able to quickly adjust to
remote learning during the 2020 COVID-19 health crisis.

Alicia possesses a positive and enthusiastic personality. She has a great

rapport with the students she works with. She is well dressed, articulate,
and always ready with a smile and a kind word. Alicia made strong
personal connections with the students, enabling her to reach some of
our most at-risk students. I have found that other team members have
accepted her as a strong working member of our team, and she has had a
positive working relationship with each one of them, as well as with other
staff members.

I am confident that Miss O’Neill will be an asset to any staff that she
works with. She is confident, knowledgeable, and has the skills of a
seasoned teacher. I believe that she will continue to grow and become
even more effective as a teacher with further opportunities. Please feel
free to contact me for more positive information about this outstanding
teacher.

Sincerely,
Brenda J. Triner
