How to Insert DVD using External DVD drive

(For use on iMacs/Mac minis/ HP desktops with no DVD drive)

External DVD drive is located in 120 g or through IT

1. Log into computer

2. Plug in external DVD drive using black USB drive (gray

one doesn’t work)
a. For Mac’s: Plug USB into back of computer
b. For HP’s: Plug USB into CPU (central processing unit
located below computer desk)

3. Open DVD slot and insert DVD

4. Click on DVD icon that pops up on screen or go to

applications in the finder menu

5. Click on DVD/video
6. If video doesn’t automatically start playing, open
Video_TS folder

7. Click on Video
8. When finished, eject DVD through finder menu or right
click on DVD icon select eject

(Mac) (HP)

9. Take out DVD and close DVD slot

10. Unplug USB from computer
