 Fridman's claim regarding American's ignorance towards anti-intellectualism is false. Although

most Americans praise professional athletes more than prestigious university professors, they are aware
of the anti-intellectualism display across social, political, and cultural interactions. According to the New
York Times,  the United States is the number 1 leading country of confirmed coronavirus cases despite
the admonish issued out from doctors and experts. Even though most American citizens are aware of
the dangerous coronavirus outbreak, they do not acknowledge the safety precautions, such as social
distancing, recommended to them to lessen the spread of the disease. Because most Americans have
credible sources, they are aware of the foolishness displayed by certain groups of people. In this case,
anti-intellectualism is represented across the country as more and more Americans further disobey the
precautions that could have prevented this crisis.
