History Of Perennial :
Relatively a young organization started in 2005 by an Entrepreneur Mr. Yashwant
Desai Who has been in Diesel engine field for last 25 years. Was a senior
executive in marketing department in a Large Corporate company in power
sector.

Perennial started its operation in 2004 Oct by selling DG Sets of repute brands.
But we quickly understood the market and power situation in India. Power rental
was becoming order of day . Thus we started our rental division. Rental which
was mostly dominated by non- professional people who majorly gave Dgs for
events and function. Perennial understood the needs of customer and made
tailor made packages of rental for different customers and segments Now rental
division is our flagship division.

Power is our core business many allied activities were started revolving the same.
As perennial we have always strive hard to understand changing customer need
and requirement .New services and products in our portfolio. Currently we are in
Field of Power Rental, Turnkey power projects ,Lighting Solution, OnM , Piping
Solution , Noise Reduction and room insulation.

DO’S:-
•Check Radiator water level.
•Check Lube Oil level.
•Check Diesel level.
•Check Battery terminal connection.
•Maintain battery terminals applying Perolium Jelly.
•Check cable connection tightness.
•Run DG for 15-20 minutes daily.
•Clean the Acoustic exterior with dry cloth weekly.
•Use only Authorised spares.
•Monitor Battery charging & Electrolyte specific gravity.
•Close the Acoustic doors properly & then lock.

DON’T’S:-
•Do not megger with AVR & PCC in the circuit.
•Do not keep clothes and figures near rotating parts.
•Do not go near the DG set when in run mode.
•Do not keep emergency PUSH button in pressed condition.
•Do not climb over the equipment & Acoustic Enclosure.
Manual Starting:-

Before starting make sure that no one is standing in the close vicinity of the
engine.
Insert key:-
Position OFF = No operating voltage.
Turn key clockwise:-
Position ON = Operating voltage, Pilot lamp lights up.
Turn key further to clockwise against spring pressure:-
Position START = Engine starts firing.
Release key as soon as engine starts firing lamp goes out.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:-
Sr.No. Problem Check & Action to be taken
1) voltage after DC ON switch is turned Check battery supply.
ON Bad electrical connections.
Check the MCB to ON position.
2) Engine does not CRANK while start Batteries are very weak.
PB pressed. Check the start relay operates.
Air lock in fuel system.
3) High water temp. Indication lights and Temp switch end wire is may be body earth.
engine stop. No water in radiator.
Water circulation system may be faulty.
4) Low fuel level indication lights. Check fuel level in tank and fill as required.
Check float switch.
Check Wiring.
5) Engine fires and stops after sometime LOP switch is not working properly.
and LOP indication lights. Actual Lub oil pressure is not developed.
No oil in Engine.
Lub oil pipe not connected to guage.
6) Engine overspeed indication. Check gen supply to control unit.
Check engine rpm.
Check for loose connections.
7) Emergency stop P.B. pressed. Check the emergency stop P.B. pressed for Panel and Canopy.
Check wiring to P.B. for body earth.
Switch may be faulty.
8) No Voltage produced when generator Check voltmeter selector switch is not switched OFF.
is running.. Check voltage at Alternator terminals with independent meter.
Check AVR and Rotation diodes.
9) Generator does not stop. Check key switch operation.
Check fuel control solenoid .
10) Generator does not go on load. Check circuit breaker is switched on.
Check generator is producing voltage or not.
