My Name is Gerard Kelly, and I am the owner and CEO of One2One Idiomas in Lima,
Peru. I have known Gia (Jiyong) for over two years. During part of that time, Gia was employed
by my company as an ESL teacher. I evaluate my teachers on an ongoing basis via consultations
with my clients. Most of my clients are individual clients at various levels of competency.
During her employment with me Gia received only exemplary commendations from clients she
worked with. Her patience and demeanor served to create amicable class relations. Her
professionalism did not stop at the classroom, as she also exhibited it in the office. She was never
late for a meeting or class and her ability to work with our team of teachers, by sharing ideas,
and techniques helped improve the methodology of our other employees.
One aspect of my company is a Social Responsibility Outreach Service. Each hour of client time
is translated into one hour of volunteer time with children in less fortunate situations in various
parts of the city. Our teachers are not required to take part in our volunteer activities, but may do
so if they wish. Gia was on-board from day one and remained an active participant up until the
day she left us. Her personality was magnetic for the children and she brought smiles to the faces
of many of them. Her tireless efforts to help are a testament to her ability to work well with
children, and to do so in trying circumstances.
I consider Gia, one of the best teachers, I have had the pleasure of working with over the past
few years and I would hire her again without question! I think she is going to make an excellent
addition to your student body and a fine teacher once she completes her studies.
