Questions for Discussion

1. Do you agree with Mr. Rakesh that “Such Luxuries are for the big companies, but
not for us”? why or why not?
I do not agree with Mr. Rakesh’s statement. Because documentation plays a very
important role for the company. It is very clear that Rakesh is knowingly or
unknowingly trying to keep his position in the company by increasing the
dependency of his colleagues. The scenario looks as if the whole company’s
existence depends on Rakesh. He has the reins over not only his fellow colleagues
but indirectly of the board members and the company in itself.

To get a clear picture, If we put in any negative scenarios like ; if the company were
to face a raid or a law suit situation dependence on his voiced information will not be
acceptable. People need real time data to prove their authenticity and honesty.
What if In case he prefers to leave the company, it would be very difficult for the
company to extract information even if it were by appropriate knowledge sharing
approaches. And at worst case scenario anything need to happen to him the
company’s very process is at question. So considering these scenarios Mr. Rakesh
need to be confronted in person and made to understand the current scenario of the
company and how valuable an asset he is to the company at the same time the
documentation is also equally very important.
