METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the description of methods, population and sample of the study, Research

instrument, data gathering procedure and data processing or analysis.

Methods

In order to understand how fitness enthusiasts perceive ketogenic diet as a method for weight

reduction, the qualitative method was used. In order to gather data needed for the study, semi-

structured interview was used. In a structured interview, the interviewer asks a set of standard,

predetermined questions about particular topics, in a specific order (Easwaramoorthy, Zarinpoush,

2006). Descriptive research was used for its purpose is, of course, to describe, as well as explain, or

validate some sort of hypothesis or objective when it comes to a specific group of people (GutCheck,

2020). This is all in order for the researchers to achieve the goal of the study.

Research instrument

In order to gather the data needed for the study, the researchers conducted interviews. The

interview itself is a semi-structured interview which had open-ended questions. The questions pertains

to how they perceive ketogenic diet
