Adapted from = Santally & Senteni (2005). My current interest isto develop a research project withthe purpose of effectively introduce the use of Leaning Objects (LO) inthe field of toaching Colour Science and Colourimetry. In the past, we may have used traditional materials to demonstrate to our colour students the several diferent physical phenomena related to the domains of colour science, spectrophotometry and colourimetry alle. ‘The desired presentation effects may have been limited tothe vicissitudes rising from the hardware and tools used at that time. Nowadays, colour teachers have plenty of didactic, multimedia materials avalable for them to create more appealing - and more successful - classes, ‘Therefore, my idea isto start the research project by doing a thorough review of the currently available, free colour software which may be employed as teaching alds on Colour Science and Colourimetry. Next, itis foreseen the development of innovative {Learning Objects by means of avallable free and open source software in the frame of a Colour courseware. ‘This may be specifically employed for Colour Education in the scope of a modern pedagogic strategy based on the use of multimedia resources provided by the New Information and Communication Technologies.
