Saharanpur City Mayor and City Municipal Commissioner are overseeing the sanitization of entire city streets on
war-footing and deployed six heavy vehicles and over 100 hand-held machines to spray the disinfectants
across the public spaces. City Administration organized distribution of food packets to Urban Poor in
collaboration with SHGs and various NGOs, social service organizations and religious institutions.

Newspaper Publicity of telephone numbers of Medical Shops in the city which provide door-step service
delivery of Medicines to Citizens. Arrangements are made to enable social distancing among citizens
buying vegetables at the market. Political heads of the city also held meetings at Saharanpur Vegetable
Market and highlighted the immediate need to maintain social distancing.

Patna City Administration (Patna Municipal Corporation) has ensured disinfection of all public places in the city
using Jetting Machines since 24 March 2020. Sanitization of all the public utility buildings such as banks,
hospitals, etc. has been undertaken. Bihar State Road Transport Corporation buses were sanitized by Patna
Municipal Corporation. This step has been taken as a precautionary measure against coronavirus outbreak.
Kanpur Telemedicine through video conferencing facility launched by Kanpur Municipal Commissioner, Mr.
Akshay Tripathi. Citizens have been requested to make video calls on the number 8429525801 to avail the
facility.
Dharamshala Fire tenders used for spraying sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution for comprehensive disinfection of

Bilaspur Bilaspur Smart City Limited and Bilaspur Nagar Nigam work together and distributed foot prints to
vendors/ commercial establishments to enable social distancing among citizens and implement the
prescribed rules of government to contain spread of COVID.
Kohima Self-Declaration COVID19 Nagaland App is launched. The app is mandatory for any person who
entered Nagaland after March 6, 2020 even if they have called the state/district helpline. This is crucial for
tracking & surveillance of high-risk cases. Link:

Ranchi Support of Integrated Command, Control and Communication Centre being taken to manage COVID-19.
Public Address Systems at 12 major street junctions of the State Capital being used for information
dissemination and to communicate important messages of District Administration and State Government
and motivate the citizens on steps required to be undertaken.
Gujarat The Municipal Corporation of Surat is using the mobile application SMC COVID-19 Tracker to keep track of
3,600 home-quarantined people in the city. All the 3,600 home-quarantined persons in Surat have been
asked to install the mobile application on their smartphones. After installing the app, the user is required to
declare his or her current location and travel history. Then every hour the user is required to push a button
called "Send Location" to update their whereabouts. If the user is found to have moved out of house or the
specified area, he or she is sent to institutional quarantine. Users also have to fill up a simple form twice a
day, giving information about symptoms such as fever, cough and difficulty in breathing. They also have to
upload latest selfie, so that doctors can assess them remotely

In view of the success achieved by Surat, the Gujarat government on 27 March 2020 launched a mobile
application which can monitor the movement of those who have been asked to follow home quarantine for
suspected exposure to coronavirus. The Geographic Information System (GIS)-based app was launched in
Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara and Rajkot.
Nagpur Nagpur Municipal Corporation in collaboration with HLL Lifecare has launched Coronavirus Application for
the benefit of the symptomatic citizens having problem of cough, fever and difficulty in breathing. Citizens
will just have to fill the information about their symptoms on this application and submit it.

The mobile application easily detects whether they have related symptoms are not. In case of identified
symptoms, the mobile application will inform the team of NMC doctors for further monitoring and action.
NMC has also launched door-to-door containment of COVID-19 with quick response teams, sanitizing
houses and areas in vicinity of positive patients, etc.
Silvassa Union Territory Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli (DNH) and DD launches Coronavirus Tracking
(Dadra & App, Corona Tracer. This Application is helpful to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The App can be

The app basically tracks home quarantined people, the contacts of any suspected or infected person. It
needs to be downloaded by majority of people to be effective. The UT administration has therefore made it
mandatory that any person moving out of their house should have a pass issued through this app. This
procedure will make it possible for the app to be widely downloaded.
Delhi Management of food/hunger/shelter has now becoming a major crisis. Towards addressing the hunger of
(including urban poor and homeless, Hunger Centers have been established in various 295 school campuses across
NDMC) Delhi (East, North-East, Central, North, South, South-East, New Delhi, North-West, West and Shahdara
localities.

1 Surat Surat Municipal Corporation has developed SMC COVID-19 Tracker System which includes a
web portal and Mobile application named “SMC COVID-19 Tracker” to track people who have
abroad or interstate travel history and persons who have come in direct contact with positive
COVID-19 individual.
2 Surat Details of travellers and other individuals are collected through various sources like Self
Declaration form on SMC website, calls received on helpline number, international traveller
information received GoI etc.
3 Surat SMC has also started a helpline number 1-800-123-800 where citizen can share details
about travellers or suspects. The details are verified by SMC team including health officials. A
field team visits the location and if the details provided on helpline is verified, the individual is
asked to stay in home quarantine and they are also assigned unique Tracker ID and are asked
to download SMC COVID-19 Tracker Mobile.
4 Bengaluru BBMP developed a Coronavirus War room in record 24 hours. This 24x7 Command and
Control center has mapped each Covid-19 positive case using GIS, tracking health care workers
using GPS, and Drawing up containment plan using heat mapping technologies.
5 Bengaluru It will act as a virtual training center for Doctors & health care professionals to follow
WHO Covid-19 guidelines.
6 Bengaluru Using Surveillance technologies, real-time tracking of ambulances and Disinfection services with
GPS
7 Tumakuru TSCL supplied drone (being used by police) to survey the area and also creating awareness on
COVID 19 through public address system in the drone
8 Jabalpur Established Corona War Room at ICCC and integrated State helpline of Health 104 and
CM helpline 181 through SWAN. ICCC is bifurcating Calls into 5 categories viz. Type A, B, C,
D and E as designated by the state. Through PRI system 15 helplines from 07612637501-15 has
been operationalized. All calls are being recorded as. Calls that require immediate medical
attention are transferred through intercom to the Medics team who are stationed at ICCC 24X7;
9 Tirupati Home delivery of groceries to every house hold (Civil supplies dep)
10 Raipur When there was shortage of masks all over the city, NULM women and SHG came over and
within 5 days around 5000 masks were made by them which were distributed to all the
cleaning staff of Municipal Corporation, health department and other important people giving
their services in this time
11 Dharamshala Using NULM SHG for Stitching reusable masks for routine use
12 Gwalior Audio and Video Conferencing: To ensure a swift and seamless communication with the
respective officials/ doctors and other concerned departments, the Situation Room has been
readied to facilitate Video Conferencing and Emergency Meetings.
13 Ujjain A dedicated Call Centre has been operationalized at ICCC, which takes calls from the
citizens and provide appropriate information. Calls has been categorized into 5 categories viz;
1) Type-A: General information about what is COVID-19, what are the symptoms etc.;
2) Type-B: People informing about a likely COVID-19 patient;
3) Type-C: A person who is apprehensive that he/she has COVID-19;
4) Type-D: People who are quarantined/isolated and wants to know about their condition and
future course of action; and
5) Type-E: Any other problem related calls, such as non-availability of essential goods, etc.
19 Ujjain Every two hours the above collected information with regard to the calls received is
disseminated to the citizens to keep them updated and avoid panic;
20 Pune Public Wi-Fi coverage extended to Quarantine Centers. In order to help isolated &
quarantined patients fight mental stress and psychological challenges during extended period of
isolation, Pune Smart City along with Pune Municipal Corporation has extended its Wi-Fi
coverage specifically at isolation & quarantine centres. This helps patients stay connected with
their loved ones virtually.
21 Pune City-wide Web/mobile based dashboard with GPS tracking and analytics for tracking COVID
19 patients and facilities. Pune Smart City is working on web & mobile based dashboard
consisting of live GPS, Geo-fencing & analytics for all the stakeholders of Pune administration to
keep track of patients, quarantine cases, contact tracing and community surveillance and plan
resources including quarantine facilities, isolation beds and associated manpower for responding
to the current challenges. The COVID-19 response team of Pune administration consisting of
District Collector, Divisional Commissioner, Disaster management, health officials, and IT team
of PMC are utilizing the Smart City Command & Control Center facilities and inputs to carry out
their activities.
22 Pune Effective communication using Smart Elements - Variable Messaging Devices (VMD):
Creatives of precautionary measures including Do's & Don’ts have been published at all VMDs
(161 locations) which are strategically located in public places across Pune.
23 Pune Public address system (PA): The honorable Mayor of Pune, Municipal Commissioner & Addl.
Municipal Commissioner of Pune's direct appeal through both audio-visual mediums & audio
jingles related to COVID-19 has been broadcast live every thirty minutes using PA systems
between 7 AM to 10 PM daily, strategically located in public places across Pune. Pune police are
utilizing the PA systems for crowd control, incident management and awareness drives.

platforms to disseminate live, updated and correct information to the public to ward off any
rumor-mongering and false news spreading.

limit the crowd at any single place in the market.

108 Erode City Authorities arranged COVID-19 awareness training for sanitary workers, driver,
sanitary supervisor mainly on hand washing program, social distancing and ask them to
demonstrate to the local public.
109 Erode Seal the affected area & disinfection process is carried out rigorously in that area in regular
intervals.

111 Greater Warangal A list of foreign return persons has been received from State. A thorough survey is done
covering all households. A MOP survey is also conducted. The health report of all suspect
cases is taken twice a day.
112 Greater Warangal 3000 masks are prepared by prisoners in the city Jail. These are cloth based masks. These
are reusable unlike the surgical mask or N95masks which are costly as well as limited in supply.
A culture for hand washing with soap and water and awareness among citizens for its benefits is
raised. This is better as it will avoid panic among people for buying sanitizer during the time
when these are limited in supply.
113 Karimnagar Rapid Fever Survey is underway for whole Karimnagar. Medical teams are going door to
door keeping all precautions and getting information for high fever cases and assessing
recent travel history. This exercise is completed in that area where Indonesian delegation was
roaming and caused a suspected transfer of Covid19.

Quarantine citizens, Passengers who came from abroad recently and resolve general queries
regarding Covid-19;

3. Jabalpur is also engaging volunteers to provide food to needy and the poor. An
additional feature, i.e. engaged our Incubates to develop an app module through which we
could supply essential daily needs item at the doorstep, is underway and shall be up and
running soon.

Units (MMU) are operationalized to distribute medicines to people based on prescriptions by
doctors;

2. A dedicated Call Centre has been operationalized at ICCC, which takes calls from the
citizens and provide appropriate information. Calls has been categorized into 5 categories viz;

1) Type-A: General information about what is COVID-19, what are the symptoms etc.;

2) Type-B: People informing about a likely COVID-19 patient;

3) Type-C: A person who is apprehensive that he/she has COVID-19;

4) Type-D: People who are quarantined/isolated and wants to know about their condition and
future course of action; and

5) Type-E: Any other problem related calls, such as non-availability of essential goods, etc.

Every two hours the above collected information with regard to the calls received is
disseminated to the citizens to keep them updated and avoid panic;

Municipal Commissioner of Pune's direct appeal through both audio-visual mediums & audio
jingles related to COVID-19 has been broadcast live every thirty minutes using PA systems
between 7 AM to 10 PM daily, strategically located in public places across Pune. Pune police are
utilizing the PA systems for crowd control, incident management and awareness drives.

Pune Smart City along with Pune Municipal Corporation has deployed all its social media
platforms to disseminate live, updated and correct information to the public to ward off any
rumor-mongering and false news spreading.

are reusable unlike the surgical mask or N95masks which are costly as well as limited in
supply. A culture for hand washing with soap and water and awareness among citizens for its
benefits is raised. This is better as it will avoid panic among people for buying sanitizer during
the time when these are limited in supply.

3. Sanitization of whole city is under way. Services of fire departments are used for the same. All
MLAs and senior officers themselves monitoring this.
