There are a number of threats that may influence the effectiveness of computer antivirus

software. As you have pointed out, the most dangerous threats to computer software are the bots

(botnets), a computer worm, and a Trojan horse. Although there are other program threats such

as hijackers, rootkits, keyloggers, spyware, and ransomware, the ones you have indicated are

most significant. This is an indication that you have done comprehensive research on the various

threat programs, and picked out the most outstanding ones. As you have pointed out, a computer

worm poses the biggest threat to computer antivirus. This is because the program is “self-

replicating” and seriously carries out some unauthorized activities on computers. They are more

dangerous due to the fact that they are able to spread across computer devises through emails,

thus damaging files stored in the hard drives of different computers. Their threat is escalated

through their ability to spread through IM and mobile phones. These aspects give the computer

worm the “bragging rights” in threatening the efficiency of computer antivirus software.
