The Quest for Unification Bruce Lee

After watching the video, my view of the world has completely changed. Having only heard
the names of tau particle and neutrinos before, knowing what they are now has led me to see
a bigger micro world. The theory that the world is not made of particles but of fields and that
the three forces of nature, strong force, weak force, and electromagnetic force (not including
gravitational force) can be all part of one equation is most intriguing and astounding.
The fact that there are other particles called electron neutrino, muon, muon neutrino, tau, tau
neutrino, strange, charm, bottom, and top quark along with the electron, up and down quark is
certainly fascinating. However, I think the most crucial discovery that influenced Unification
is the discovery of fields. Yes, the electric and the magnetics fields have been discovered a
long time ago, but the discoveries of the quantum fields of the Quantum Field Theory. It is
said that there are 12 fundamental fields for fermions (6 quarks and 6 leptons) and 12
fundamental fields for bosons (8 gluon fields, W and Z boson fields, a photon field, and a
Higgs boson field). But we generally count the 12 fundamental fields along with the 4 forces
of nature: strong force, weak force, gravitational force, and electromagnetics force. In total, it
creates 16 different fields in the world. A very brief and concise explanation of the Quantum
Field Theory is that the fundamental building blocks of nature are fluid-like substances called
fields which are spread throughout the entire universe and ripple in different and interesting
ways. The fields have a different value in space and changes over time. They are like waves
of fluid. The Quantum Field Theory has been made quite recently, but humans have known
about fields a couple hundred years ago. The electric and magnetic fields have been
discovered by Michael Faraday in the 1800s. In his research with electricity and magnetism,
Faraday came up with the idea that there were invisible objects called fields threaded
throughout the universe. These are what we now call electric and magnetic fields. The
invisible feeling of force that we feel when we hold the opposite poles of a magnet close
together or when the magnets try to stick to each other is the magnetic field. By
experimenting on induction of current, Faraday was able to show the existence of such fields
in the space around us. Adding to his discovery, he suggested that the electric and magnetic
fields make up what we see. Faraday said that the ripples of the electric and magnetic field
creates what we call light. This was later confirmed by Maxwell and Hertz at least 50 years
after Faraday. The legacy of Faraday later influences the discoveries of the other fields, the
creation of the standard model, and the blend of quantum mechanics with the idea of fields.
Now, we have the theory of everything, a equation of the standard model of physics. It shows
the unification of the forces and fields in the universe and can be an explanation to every
experiment that has been done in the world. The equation is made in parts: the first part of the
equation can explain everything to do with gravity, the second part is all about
electromagnetism, then the strong nuclear force and the weak nuclear force, which describes
the 12 particles that make up matter. In the last part, there is the equation for the Higgs boson.
It is the ultimate unification of physics, made to explain everything in the world.
I do strongly believe that Unification is relevant to physics. it could be the explanation of the
universe, the billion-dollar question of the world. It could change our entire way of thinking
of the world, knowing that everything is made up of a number of waves rippling in a distinct
manner. Of course, it is a menace to all types of religion. It disproves the existence of god,
showing that god did not create everything in the world and that the universe can be
comprehended with one formula. The validation of the Unification, theory of everything, can
possibly have a disastrous impact on humankind. Millions and millions of people in the world
believe in some type of religion and god. With the vast majority being religious and not
science people, people may be reluctant to accept the truth of the Unification. On people of
science, however, Unification may be the greatest discovery ever made in the field of study
and the world itself. It will become the most relevant thing in physics. With many theories
trying to prove it, like the string theory, the theory of everything may in fact not exist, or it
could just be far beyond our capacity to understand.
Question: How would you approach and experiment a theory or hypothesis that is so abstract
and theoretical?
