Circular
In pursuance to the implementation of the new reservation policy of
the University, the following guidelines are notified for reference in order to
prepare the list of candidates to be called for interview and for preparing final
lists of selected candidates for admission 2011-12:
1. While preparing the list of candidates called for interview and the list of
candidates selected for admissions, the following should be followed:
a) First of all the list of all candidates is to be prepared on merit
irrespective of category mentioned by the candidates, and those who
qualify on merit will first be treated in General Category.
b) While preparing the list of Muslim candidates called for interview and
list of candidates selected for admission, list of candidates should be
prepared of all Muslim candidates irrespective of their categories, i.e.
Muslim, Muslim Women, and Muslim ST & Muslim OBC.
c) In case required numbers of candidates are not available in the
category of Muslim Women and Muslim ST/OBC, the seats vacant
should be transferred to Muslim category.
d) In case required number of candidates is not available in Jamia and
Persons with Disability categories, the vacant seats, if any, will be
transferred to General category.
e) 10% of the seats are jointly reserved for Muslim ST and Muslim OBC.
No further division of this 10% is to be made.
2. While calculating the number of seats in each of the reserved categories,
the rounding off will be to the next higher number, for example, if number
of seats in any category comes to 1.6, it will be treated as two seats and
likewise. In case the number of seats comes to 1.5 or less, the number of
seats will be treated as one.
