This Ted talk was a piece of parody of every ted talk ever .

The concept is
that most talks have a very poplularized style of speech and presentation
techniques ,which do make them very interesting ,but are sometimes
very annoying .Some of the examples were :
-telling unremarkable stories in unremarkeble context
-pose a question that is seemingly unrelated
-pacing your speech (speeding u por slowing down without alegitimate
reason)
-and even chuckling or just wearing a blaser and glasses
Besides the annoying stuff there are some interesting and useful
techniques ,that I will certanily try one day : for instance not many
people know that repeating something 3 times makes it very
memorable .Or that telling personal stories makes it easy for
theaudience to connect with you
I’m not gonna lie ,I did find it very funny ,but is has a very powerful
message as well : it confirms that how you choose to deliver a your
thoughts are more important than the actual thoughts themselves .You
can have a mediocore thougth and some presentation skills and you are
way better off than if u had a fantastic idea ,but delivered it poorly .
Another important conclusion is that is these techniques can be made
fun of they can certainly be learnt .Therefore there is no such thing is a
bad public speaker ,anybody can deliver a powerful speech if they
dedicate anough time to learn the proper techniques .
Next time if I find mayelf in the situation that I have to deliver a speech
to an audience ,I will make sure to spend just as much (if not more ) time
focusing on non my verbal communication when I’m practicing ,then the
time I dedicate to creating the content itself .
