The chart describes the expenditure of UAE government in ten different fields in 2000.

Overall, the UAE government invested money mostly in the country sercurity rather than the citizen
services as in social sercurity and health & personal social services took up nearly half of the chart,
whereas, the last four fields, which took the least money, had the sum of just about a half of the amount
of money the social security field spent on in the given year.

In 2000, the government aim was to protect the country, therefore, up to AED 100 billion was invested
in social security, which accounted for one third of the total budget of AED 315 billion. Followed up, with
AED 53 billion, the expenditure on health & personal social services was also at the top concern.

Despite of the country’s situaltion, the government still spent an average amount of AED 38 billion on
education field. Debt interest and other expenditure had the same amount of AED 23 billion and
followed right behind, defence field with AED 22 billion.

Since a vast of money consumed on the country security, there was not much left for the citizen
services. For law & order, housing herritage & environment and industry and argriculture & employment
were the three fields that the government spent less money on, at AED 17, 15 and 13 billion,
respectively. At AED 9 billion, transports took the least amount of money out of other fields in the given
chart.
