Coronavirus (CoV) are a large family of viruses that causes illnesses ranging from
the common cold to more severe respiratory diseases. Coronaviruses are zoonotic;
transmitted between animals and people. Common signs of infection include
respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.
In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory
syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

Yoga and Naturopathy system of Medicine enhances immunity while helping to


create and maintain healthy mucous membrane tissue, essential for fending off
germs.

Natural Immune Boosting Fresh Juice

Ingredients and Procedure:

Indian Gooseberry Juice 50ml,


Ginger 10ml,
Fresh Lime Juice 5ml,
Turmeric Powder ¼ Tsp, and Drinking Water 200ml.

Mix the above ingredients in plain or warm water and drink directly.

Dose: Adult: 250ml twice a day. Children: 100ml twice a day

Crushed Adhimaduram 5gms (liquorice root),

All the above should be boiled till the raw smell goes away. To strain and to drink it
hot.

*Cleansing the Sino nasal cavity with lukewarm saline water reduces the
hypersensitivity and alleviates the respiratory symptoms. Hypertonic solution
reduces mucosal edema due to osmotic pressure - induced water transport
through the mucosal epithelial membrane, thereby reducing and improving
muco-ciliary clearance.

HYDROTHERAPY

HELIOTHERAPY (SUN BATH)

Sun exposure for 15-20mins daily in the morning and in the evening may confer
protection against other illnesses such as asthma and infectious diseases.
Vitamin D induces cathelicidin- a poly peptide that effectively combat both
bacterial and viral diseases.

AROMATHERAPY
1. Eucalyptus oil: For massage 10drops in 20ml of gingelly oil. For sniffing 1-2
drop in handkerchief.
2. Peppermint oil: For massage 10drops in 20ml of gingelly oil. For sniffing 1-2
drop in handkerchief.

PERSONAL HYGIENE:

The best way to prevent the illness is to avoid getting exposed to the virus.

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.


• Avoid large crowd and places with poor ventilation.
• Always use mask when moving out in the crowd.
• Frequent hand wash with soap and water for 20 seconds.
• Use hand sanitizers (alcohol based when hand washing is not possible)
• Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue and discard it properly.
• Limit handling the door knobs, switches, rails and other public surfaces.
• Using gloves will limit the contact.
