REFLECTION
WHAT IS REFLECTION.
Reflection is the change in direction of an interface between two different media example; water air.
Light reflects from a smooth surface at the same angle as it hits the surface. The Law of
Reflection states that the angle of the incident light ray is equal to the angle of the reflected
light ray.
When a ray of light approaches a smooth polished surface and the light ray bounces back.
The ray that bounces back is called the reflected ray.
The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal all lie in the same plane
•The angle of incidence = Angle of reflection
