Vidyamandir Classes started over as a small institute in
1986, with a very limited intake and with a vision to ensure
all its students make it to the IITs. Credited with many
“FIRSTS” in the Test prep space, VMC increased its capacity
in the Founders course very optimistically, from 11 in the
first batch till around 250 as on date, ensuring that it
maintains quality and personal attention. Newer courses
and centres were added timely, but only after it was
properly ensured that VMC lives up to its standards and
commitment of personal attention and proper learning
environment.

In 1990, VMC was the first IIT-JEE coaching
institute to introduce an admission and
1990 talent screening test for prospective
students.
In 1992, VMC took the lead in recognizing
the need for organized and comprehensive
study material, which was perfectly
synchronized with the classroom sessions 1992
and was the first institute to introduce
completely cohesive and scientifically
designed course material for its students.
In 1995, VMC introduced a unique course
called The Final Step (FS) which was a
revision course for IIT-JEE preparation. This
Course was intended to provide a
1995 comprehensive revision, just before the final
exam. Subsequently this course has been
merged with our two year Regular
Classroom Course.
VMC was the first IIT-JEE coaching institute
to introduce computer based feedback and
analysis to students based on their
performance in tests conducted by VMC. In
2007, VMC introduced online assessment 2007
for its students. The VMC online testing
platform is to this day, one of the most

STUDY MATERIAL
In 1992, VMC recognised the need for organized and
comprehensive study material, which was perfectly
synchronized with the classroom sessions. Thus VMC
became first institute to introduce completely cohesive
and scientifically designed course material for its students.
VMC provides a comprehensive set of study material to
all its students, which is scientifically prepared to ensure
comprehension of even the most difficult topics. It
includes well designed layouts, innovative explanations,
simple examples and other research-proven techniques
of study material presentation. Each key concept is
explained using carefully chosen questions with
stepwise solution, which explains the core application
of the concept.
The study material at VMC is revised every year and
covers every aspect of each topic, making it completely
self-sufficient. So much is our confidence in our study
material, that we consciously ask our students to rely
solely on VMC material, and not consult any other book
or guide. We regularly upgrade our course material with
appropriate modifications to meet the changing
pattern and syllabus of the IITJEE every year.
The Study material primarily consists of Modules and
Workbooks. Modules are designed to cover the Theory
portion of JEE Advanced and JEE Main, as per the latest
pattern and syllabus of each year. Workbooks are
provided to assist preparation for Boards/School &
other Engineering entrance exams.
Modules form the primary part of the VMC Study
material and each module is divided into chapters. Each
chapter is then further divided into two sections, as
explained below:-
DETAILED THEORY PORTION
This part explains the core concepts in a very simple and
easy manner with the help of illustrations and helps in
building a strong foundation for the students.
SOLVED EXAMPLES & IN-CHAPTER EXERCISES
This part illustrates the applicability of the theoretical
concepts. Accurate and thorough explanations are
provided to ensure students internalize the core
concepts. Each step in the solved examples is carefully
and systematically explained, to show students how to
attempt a particular problem.
SCHOOL/BOARD NOTES
Exhaustive notes on Economics, English and Computer
Science are provided to students to help them in their
schools in Class XI and XII, besides notes on Chemistry,
Physics and Maths.
OTHER ENGG. ENTRANCE EXAMS MATERIAL
A comprehensive set of Previous year exams and
Practice papers is provided to students for various
exams like BITSAT, VITEEE and the like, to make sure all
our students land up in great colleges.
FINAL STEP
Intended to provide a comprehensive revision just
before the final exam and designed carefully by the
founders of VMC, this section includes Revision
package for JEE Main & JEE Advanced, Home Practice

WORKBOOKS
VMC was the first to introduce completely cohesive and
scientifically designed course material (Modules) for its
students. Recently, it has developed a new concept
called “Workbooks”. In this newly introduced
“Workbooks”, the conceptualisation and designing has
been done in such a way that the student practices more
and more to master the art of perfection as we at VMC
firmly believe that “Practice Brings Perfection”.

REGULAR
CLASSROOM COURSE
The One Year Course offered by VMC is an extensive course for
students who would be moving to Class XII and would be
appearing for the IITJEE 2021. Given the fact that the student
is left with only one year to prepare for IITJEE, this
one year course is compact yet
rigorous, and helps students take
the exam with full confidence.
The course covers topics relevant from Class XI & XII syllabus
that are important from the IITJEE perspective. At initial stage
the fundamentals are strengthened so that the student can face
the more difficult topics with ease.
The course is designed to reinforce the core concepts and give
sufficient problem solving practice to its students.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Phase 1 The First Stage focuses on the
important and difficult topics of Class XII which
are often the source of confusion and
subsequent mistakes. The emphasis is to create
visualization for these concepts using
multimedia, models, real life examples etc, so
that these critical concepts can be applied to
real exam problems more effectively. Periodic
testing through Class Tests and Unit Tests help
the students in evaluating and benchmarking
their understanding.
Phase 2 The Second Stage begins around
October and the emphasis shifts to covering
the Class XI topics and on continuous testing.
The focus of this stage is to build confidence
and motivate the students to give their best
shot in the remaining three months before the
main exams. Sessions on motivation, time
management, exam - taking strategies are also
conducted by experts in this stage.
Phase 3 In the Third Stage, once the syllabus is
finished, rigorous testing is done so that the
students gain speed as well as accuracy while
attempting the question paper and imbibe the
art of converting knowledge into marks.
Besides Classroom Session and comprehensive
Course Material, Online Test Series will be
provided to students. This will help in assessing
and improving their performance, besides
introducing them to the pattern of the
competitive examinations.

PLAN OF ACTION FOR CLASS XI
The two-year IIT JEE course will be divided into marking
periods. Each marking period will cover specific chapters and

• JEE Main Exam (in both online and offline mode)

 It was a wet humid morning in July 2016, when I received an emotional letter from a

She asked me that Why VMC is not offering the same level-playing field to medical
aspirants as it does to engineering aspirants? This bold question by an unknown student
stumped me completely. She further asked... Do we (medical aspirants) have no right to
have the VMC advantage? Why don't you do something for students who have a dream
to become distinguished doctors of our nation?

After reading the letter, I was riding high on emotions... I was happy and sad at the same
moment, happy because a child has complete trust on our abilities and is ready to give
himself/herself to nurture their dream and sad because I never thought it so intensely
about building my team in medical entrance preparation to give advantage to these gifted
students.

The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a National Level scholarship program in India for class X
students. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious scholarship exam. It was started in 1963 to identify and
honour talented students by awarding them monthly scholarships. The scholarship is given to students for
pursuing courses in sciences and social sciences up to doctoral level and in professional courses like medicine and

Stage I - Selection is done by States/UTs through the written examination and students who qualify Stage - I are
