Evaluation

Overall, I think this shoot went alright as I produced some nice images that look appealing to the eye
but also convey my meaning I set out to convey. I wants the convey the meaning whereby I give the
audience a new perspective of modern architecture, also in a spacious way. I think I did this well in
some images but not so well in others.

I used a good ‘looking up’ perspective in all the final images I produced however the amount of open/
empty space I included in the frame was the decision maker in whether my meaning was conveyed
enough or not. I like how apparent it was that I was shooting modern architecture from this
perspective as it helps to convey my meaning well and allow the audience to interpret it for
themselves.

I experimented with different viewpoints in this shoot, where I sometimes had the building cross
diagonally through the frame in different directions. I like this framing technique as it creates a unique
but balanced look that I find interesting. It also adds some variation to the shoot as traditionally this
isn’t what I normally do. I know the looking up perspective gives the audience something new already,
but the different viewpoints and framing techniques emphasise the idea that I’m trying to give the
viewers a new outlook on modern architecture.

Moving forwards I think I will continue to experiment with different viewpoints, similar to those I have
done in this shoot. I would like to continue shooting modern architecture however due to the current
circumstances, I will have to move on from this and start shooting old architecture again. I live in an
area with an old church in walking distance that I can go and shoot but unfortunately I don’t live near
any modern architectural structures. I will start this new process by shooting the old church and see if
I can make it feel spacious at all. After that, I will analyse where I should take this project next.

In conclusion, I am happy with this shoot however I don’t thin its my best work from this project so far
which is a shame because its my last shoot focusing on modern architecture.
