Evaluation

In conclusion, I think this shoot is pretty good. I produced some nice images that are appealing to the
eye thought he use of compositional techniques but I also happened to convey my meaning quite
nicely throughout. I was apprehensive to try and make old architecture feel spacious because in my
last shoot of old architecture I didn’t do this however I think it worked here because I included the
bright blue sky and this seems to be crucial in this type of photography for me.

I would like to re-shoot this shoot and try to make it better. I will be more careful about small details
included in the frame and try to perfect the looking up perspective in a spacious way as it seems that
in this shoot I did one or the other most of the time. I need to re-shoot it on a day with the same blue
skies weather as this is what makes the images so beautiful and appealing to the eye but also really
spacious. I might also shoot the church form some new angles, perhaps get behind it instead of just
the front.

From this shoot, I have noticed that I use the rule of thirds a lot to frame my images in a balanced way
and this is good but I would like to experiment with some different compositional techniques that
could open my images up even more, for example symmetry and utilising negative space more.

I made good use of my camera functions and adjusted the shutter speed and aperture by myself to
create crisp clear photographs which worked well and is definitely something I will continue to do. I
also think I used good manual focus to make my images stand out. I didn’t have to use photoshop to
edit any of the images because I think I used good lighting and they didn’t need any alterations.

Overall, I think this shoot went well but there are definitely a few things I could do to improve it so I will
re-shoot the exact same building with the aim to try and perfect these elements.
