EXTRACT INFORMATION FROM SURFACE TO POLYLINES

This is based on the use of ArcGIS tools.

1. Use Densify tool and apply it to the original polylines to generate vertices at the desired
interdistance.
2. Use Feature vertices to points tool, and the polylines will be transformed to points conserving their
attributes.
3. By using the surface or raster with the interesting information, apply the tool Surface Information if
the points and the raster overlap. If not, follow with 4.
4. Convert Raster to points
5. Use Spatial Join with the option closest, and save the file with the joined attributes from both point
files.
