• You will need a few dolls (Barbies for example) and clothes for them. The easiest way is to ask the children to bring their own dolls to class, but bear in mind that they might forget to do it. • Put all the dolls and clothes together on a table. • If you have more students than dolls, put them into groups. • Ask each group to choose a doll and to dress it up. They have 5 minutes to do it. • When finished, ask them if they know the words for any of the clothing their dolls are wearing (they don’t need to know, as it’s just the beginning of the lesson on clothing).
Some of the boys in your class might refuse to play with a doll so try to have a teddy bear or the male version of Barbie, Ken, for them.
