Effects of cell phones on society in Colombia and its effects on my personality

Cell phones are smart devices that can help you a lot in some cases. It has been

used since the decade of the 90 in Colombia and has signified for the country an

improvement in the era of telecommunications. The implementation of this new

artifact brought with it transformations of some areas like the politic area, the

economic area, the cultural area and the social area.

Cell phones also changed the way that people in Colombia see each other, I mean,

if you have an expensive cell phone people will see you like a high class person,

but if you have a cheap cell phone will happen the same but instead of being

judged like a high class person you will be judged like a low class person. This is a

really bad thing about cell phones in Colombia because you don’t need to judge

people by their cell phone, you need to judge people by their personality and way

of thinking, but not by their cell phones.

In my case, the cell phones have had a great impact in my life, because I can

communicate easier with my family and my friends, making things easier to plan

things like parties or dinners, stuff like that. In the other hand, cell phones helped

me to search for things fast in the internet and wasting no space in my pockets or

bag and I don’t need to go to my home to search for it.
