Editing for Capitalization

Editors have a special symbol to indicate that a word should be
capitalized.

EXAMPLE: My favorite president is abraham lincoln.

Last night we watched the movie star wars.

DIRECTIONS: Use the editor’s mark to identify the capitalization errors

in each sentence.

1. On saturday I plan to do all of my grocery shopping.

2. When phoebe returned from school, she was quite cheerful.

3. My favorite flower is the gerbera daisy.

4. I have had a subscription to the new yorker for years.

5. Even after all these years, I am still a fan of dave matthews.

6. I was raised on old black and white superman t.v. shows.

7. We got my mother a new kitchen aid stand mixer.

8. My address is 15 juniper street.

9. I get all my electronics at best buy.

10. The nigerian nurse is very helpful and pleasant.
