1 used Developmental Checklists on 2 separate occasions a month a part on Gwen to observe and
record where she is developmentally. In that month I noticed that Gwen went from not hopping
and standing on one foot for up to 5 seconds to being able to do it. Using the developmental
checklists helped me to make Gwen’s monthly goal of beginning to draw squares. During the
time between the first developmental checklist observation to the second developmental
checklist observation Gwen was able to accomplish her goal of drawing squares. In this time, she
also began to copy some capital letters. According to the developmental checklist Gwen seems to
be advanced in her development for her age group. It appears there are some Cognition and
General Knowledge areas of development that Gwen can work on like beginning to understand
time, causality and recalling parts of a story.
