Lesson outline:
1- Students will be taught the lyrics and rhythm of the song “I Love the Mountains.” The music
sheet will be displayed on the board, this way students are able to follow along.
2- The song with the lyrics will be played and students will be instructed to sing along.
3- The song without lyrics will then be played (music sheet still displayed on the board) and
students will sing along.
4- We will then discuss some of the things mentioned in the song about mountains. Such as the
types of flowers, the activities you can do, types of animals, etc.
5- Next we will make the connection between the songs lyrics and different landscapes and
environments. Discussing things we find in those different landscapes. And how those things
affect living things (animals, humans, plants).
