My experiences in working in the field and majoring in the field of sports makes me an ideal candidate for
the internship program with the Greater Lansing Sporting Authority, which I’ve heard will strive to
enhance the quality of life for residents through local sports. Your company is known for its great sports
tourism and promoting economic growth by attracting a diverse range of sports. I know that with my
background and interest in sports and sports broadcasting, I am a good fit for your organization.

My volunteer work throughout my middle school, high school, and now my college years has confirmed
my interest in and dedication to sports and sports broadcast. By volunteering at Kemeny Recreation
Center in Southwest Detroit, MI, I learned a lot about sports and how children love to play them. During
my time at Kemeny Center, I had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sports and how to referee,
and how to do commentary. Later, these skills became important when I took a broadcasting class in high
school and learned even more about sports and even had the opportunity to look in the field of sideline
reporting. I am now looking forward to serving as a sideline reporting for ESPN in the future and I feel as
in your organization will help me along my path in doing so.
