Chapter 7: Ah Baba and the Forty Thieves

Kassim and Ali baba were brothers, Kassim was a rich man and Ali baba was a
humble man, the two brothers did not see much. One day Ali baba went to cut
wood on a mountain full of trees, once he was there, he heard a noise at that
moment Ali baba climbed a tree and from there he started to watch what was
happening. They were thieves and there were a total of forty of them, the thieves
didn't notice that Ali baba was in the tree.
One of them went to the mountain and quietly uttered a word, Open sesame, then
the wall of the mountain opened, the thieves entered the cave with sacks and after
they entered the door of the mountain closed. Then the thieves came out of the
cave and left on their horses. Seeing this Ali baba was surprised, he got down from
the tree and went to the mountain and pronounced Open, Sesame, the wall of the
mountain opened and Ali baba entered, once inside he could not see for a short
time, then he saw much gold. Ali baba filled his two bags with gold and carried his
donkey and put wood on the gold, he arrived late to his house and showed his wife
the gold he had brought.
The next day Ali baba's wife found Kasim's wife and told him what had happened,
after this Kasim's wife went to his house and told her husband what happened to
Ali baba, after listening to his wife Kasim went to Ali baba's house and asked him
brother certain that you are going to make rich, Ali baba did not want to tell the
secret, until he convinced him and told him what happened to him. The next day
Kassim went to the mountain, but with twenty donkeys, he found the mountain and
opened the door, once inside he took twenty bags of gold to the mouth of the cave,
he wanted to open the door, but he forgot the secret word, he tried a hundred ways
and he couldn't open the door.
The thieves came back and found the donkeys outside the cave, opened the door
and ran to see who was inside, found Kasim and counted him in four pieces and
left the pieces inside the cave so that those who knew the key to the cave would be
afraid, the thieves came out of the cave and took the twenty donkeys of Kasim.
Night fell and Kasim did not return home, his wife went to see Ali baba to go and
find her husband who happened to him, Ali baba walked all night and the next
morning arrived at the cave with his two donkeys, he pronounced Open up,
Sesame! And the door opened, she saw the four parts of her brother and realized
that this is what the thieves did, Ali baba picked up the parts of his brother and left
the cave for home.
Ali baba did not want people to know that his brother had died cut, so he devised a
plan with the maid to say that he was sick and then died, but there was a problem
people were going to ask because he was in four pieces, so the maid took the
body to an old shoemaker to join it, this shoemaker did not see very well, the maid
paid him with four gold pieces to join the four parts into one, the shoemaker worked
all night and the body joined it into one.
Ali baba, his wife and children moved into Kassim's house to live together with his
brother's wife and his maid. They lived happily for a while but this story does not
end there because other people were not happy and those people were the
thieves.

Chapter 8: The End of the Forty Thieves

When the thieves returned to the cave they were surprised, they did not find the
body cut from kasim, they thought, there is another person who knows the secret
of our cave, it has to be some friend or relative, we killed him before we asked. A
thief said I have an idea I will go to the village to ask who died cut in four pieces,
maybe someone will remember. The thief went to the village, but found no answer,
then he went to the old shoemaker's shop. He saw the old man working and told
him his job was good, if the shoemaker answered, last week I turned the body of a
dead man cut into four pieces into one. Really I express the thief, that is interesting
and who is the dead man said the thief, the shoemaker answered I do not know, a
girl lives there and he took me to do the work there. The thief answered you
remember the way to the house, the old shoemaker took him and stopped at
Kasim's house, this was the house said the shoemaker; the thief took the old man
to his house and returned with the thirty nine thieves and told them the story.
A few weeks later an oil salesman arrived at Kasim's door with twenty donkeys
loaded with jars of oil, the oil salesman said Ali baba, I can order you these jars of
oil because I am going to sell this oil tomorrow. I ask the thief I can leave them
outside your house for tonight. The oil seller brought his donkeys and jars of oil and
left them outside, Ali baba took them inside to the oil seller, Marjana was in the
kitchen preparing dinner and at that moment the lamp went out because of lack of
oil. He thought there was a lot of oil outside I could bring some, he went to the jars
and opened the first one, and from inside they answered It's time, Marjana
surprised answered, it's not the Time! Then Marjana went to each jar and heard
the same question and gave the same answer, except for the last jar which, if it
contained oil, Marjana thought something was very wrong, in thirty-nine jars there
are thieves and one is missing, then the seller is also a thief.
She took some oil to the kitchen and put it to heat when it was hot, she left and
poured some hot oil into each vase, in this way the maid killed the thirty-nine
thieves and the one with Ali baba was the most dangerous, later when Ali baba
and his family were sleeping under the thief on the stairs she went to the first vase
and said It is time! But there was no response from the vase. The thief saw inside
the vase and was surprised to see his companions dead, very scared the thief,
went and got into the last vase, then Marjana made a noise and took hot oil to the
last vase and threw it on top of the last thief and killed him. In the morning Marjana
told what happened to Ali Baba and he thanked her and told her to marry my son
because you are a very intelligent girl. So Marjana lived very happily with the
family. At the end of the story Shahriar told Sheherazade, that there were very
intelligent girls and then men do everything for them, I hope you are not like that,
Sheherazade replied no sir I just want to make you happy and Shahriar said then
tell me another new story.

lamp?" asked Aladdin. Where is it? The wife answered the magician has it along
with him, then Aladdin said to his wife you will have to help me, Aladdin's wife put
something in the drink the magician fell asleep and Aladdin tore her head off.
Aladdin took the lamp and called the wizard and said "Take this house and
everything in it back to my city. Aladdin and his wife lived many happy years but
the lamp always stayed with Aladdin.
"How many stories do you know? Shahriar asked. "I have known stories for a
thousand and one nights. And when I finish those stories, I will think of new ones.
