Following this year. | stepped down as the coach but remained connected with Ms. Mehringer as a mentor. In the time Ihave known her, Ms. Mehringer has accepted both praise and cftique equally wel She is exceptionally hard on herself and pushes herself to be the best at whatever she does. In my 20+ years of coaching the sport of cheer - | can honestly say that | have not had many athletes work as hard as she did af her craft. AAS a freshman, she quickly elevated to become ‘one of my top athletes, making both travel and playoff teams. Ms, Mehringer was also a good teammate and extremely coachable, which to me was the best attributes she brought to the team, the program and me. Because she has a desire to excel, she pushes those around her to rise to her level of performance and effort. In adailfion, she was the first to stay behind and offer help to those struggling with any aspect of the sport. Additionally, she is an excellent student and when she put her academics over cheering, | knew she was cn exceptional young woman. Following our time involved in the cheer program, Ms. Mehringer and | remained connected os | continued to mentor her. She stayed involved in the cheer program for another year before deciding to defer her passion for academic interests.
