TOURIST GUIDE IN THE CITY OF HUANCAYO

Hello, my name is Sharon and I will be your tourist guide to the city of Huancayo.

Huancayo better known as the unbeatable city knows this fascinating place in Peru to taste
the authentic Andean culture. Huancayo is a city full of history and tradition, known for its
crafts, breathtaking trails through the mountains and impressive ruins. With more festivals
than days of the year. A must for everyone!

There is a lot to see in and around Huancayo. Then we will go to the main tourist
attractions that you should know in this tour of the city.

First of all, we will visit the Huanca identity park. This picturesque park is well known by
locals, who usually take pictures of weddings. Made entirely of stones, it was designed to
promote the culture and identity of the Huancainos.

Second, we will visit the Tower Tower which is a series of giant geological formations.
These structures are made of red clay, by the action of the wind and the rain, they were
modeled in natural towers. From the top of the towers you get a fabulous view of the city.

Third, we will visit the village of Cochas Chico is 25 minutes from the city center, the main
entrance and pride of the area are the burials mates: delicate and beautiful works of art
carved in the fruits of mate or pumpkin.

And last but not least we will visit the ruins of Arwaturo. These ruins date from the time of
the Huancas that inhabited the Mantaro valley. The ruins consist of 17 stone buildings that
were once used as warehouses for the Huancas and Incas.

For those who want to taste the delicious cuisine of Huancayo I recommend the potato to
the Huancaina, the Pachamanca, the Cuy Colorado and trout grilled traditional dishes of the
area.

These delights can be found in the typical restaurants of the city. If you are one of the
